LODGING SKIPPERS

BOARD EVADED YOUNG MEN FINED When Percy Boorae Presland, aged 27, and Irving John Hurrey, aged 21, spent a few days in Hamilton under assumed names, they forgot about their obligations to a boardinghouse keeper. This morning at the Police Court, they pleaded guilty to charges of obtaining qredit for £1 15s by fraud. Chief-Detective Cummings said that the men had left Gisborne on June 15, and stayed at a Hamilton boardinghouse from June 16 to June 20, under assumed names. They were each fined £3 and ordered to make restitution.
