MAORI WAR VETERAN
DEATH OF MR. SYMES (From Our Own Correspondent.) WANGANUI, To-day. The death is announced of Mr. A. J. Symes, a veteran of the Maori War. About seven years ago he took up farming at Otorohanga and returned here recently on account of failing health. Four sons and seven daughters are left, including Mrs. H. Baker, Otorohanga.
