Air Tragedy. —Four naval airmen were killed at Toulon when their machines crashed after colliding in mid-air. —A. and N.Z. London Taxi Fares. —London taxiowners, after a seven-hour conference with a House of Commons committee, decided to accept a decrease in fares to 9d a mile.—Sun. Wireless Record. —There was jubilation in the Phillips laboratory factory at Erndhoven, Holland, when it was known that its wireless signals had been picked up in Sydney, a world short-wave record.—A. and N.Z. Presentation of Napier Shield. —On Shield will be presented to the North Thursday evening the Napier Memorial Shore Rugby Football Club, winners of last year’s competition for the shield, in the Parish Hall, Devonport. The presentation will be made by Air. Edmond Napier, son of the late Mr. W. J. Napier. During' the evening there will be a concert and dance.
