HOUSEWIVES’ GUIDE is in good supply on the market and prices remain unchanged. Schnapper is retailing at 6d a lb, hapuka at Is, mullet Bd, moki Is, trevalli 9d each and Barrier cray at Is. Vegetables are plentiful in the city marts and selling at low prices. Te Kauwhata grapes can be bought for approximately 7d lb in 161 b crates. Tomatoes are also very cheap at from 1s 6d to 4s a 20lb case. Cape gooseberries are selling at 6d to 7d a lb.
