At the monthly meeting of the Pembroke Road branch of the W.D.P. U., the president, Mrs.' R. A. Belcher, presided over a good attendance. It war. decided to send the president and Mrs McNeil (vice-president) to the conference next month. A social bring and buy afternoon is to he held at a earlj' date. Mrs Booker, who was' a visitor to the meeting, judged the competitions, which were won as follows: Jam, Mrs Allsop 1, Mrs 11. A. Hunt ?.; cow torn from paper. Mrs H. A. Hunt 1, Mrs W. Clements 2. The Hosieries for the afternoon were Mescalines A. Wickcised and W. Clements.
