MARRIAGE

ATTWOOD WARD

The marriage of Joan Betsy twin daughter of Mr and Mrs Sidney Ward of Vogeltown New Plymouth, to Ernest Alfred, second son of Miami Mrs George Attwood of Hamilton East, took place at the London Street Methodist Church, Hamilton on Saturday September 2. The Rev. Harold Peot officiated. The bride entered the church with her father, Miss Joan Boyle of New Plymouth acted as Bridesmaid. The Bridegroom was attended by Mr Noel Pope of Hamilton, as best man. After the ceremony a reception was held at Mrs R. Pope's (sister of the bride) at Whitiora, while in the evening Mr and Mrs Attwood entertained a large number of guests at their house in Hamilton East, where dancing, community singing etc. was held up to the small hours of the morning. Mr and Mrs Attwood left during the evening for the north where the honeymoon is being spent.
