GERMAN MASONIC LODGES Purely Christian Basis EXCLUSION OF JEWS Press A< iciation. —Copyright. Received Today, 10.5 a.m. Hanover, April 21.—Following a* meeting of Masonic and Government representatives the dissolution of all German Masonic lodges and reorganisation on purely a Christian basis was announced. The word "Freemason" and also the old testament ritual will disappear and lodges will reorganise under the name of the National Christ-' ian Order of Frederick the Great. Jews will be refused admission. The statement declared that the' grand lodges decided on reorganisation; in deference to the new conditions. The Masonic tradition of almost two> centuries' standing is removed. There is believed to be a million German Freemasons.
