Huiroa Township G. Ritchie, Huiroa, applied for permission to fence in a portion of the road frontage to the Huiroa township sections recently aliotwd to an unemployed man and situated on the Makuri road in the East Riding. The land was required for grazing milch cows. The following communication, which was stated to have a bearing on the above application was also received. „ x „ ~ As the successful applicant for the Government reserve at Huiroa, G. iC. Fishwick, Makahu, asked permission to put the road frontage fence closer to the road to enable the elimination of extra fencing through a raupo swamp. , It was stated that it was possible the two applications would clash, and the engineer was appointed to investigate with power to act. J. B. Richards wrote asking for relief in connection with water that be stated is backed up on his land at Huiroa.

(Jr. Murray was appointed to approach the owner of the neighbouring property, The Radio Emergency Corps (Taranaki Division) wrote appealing tor financial assistance to enable the purchase of suitable equipment for cases of emergency on Mount Eginont. —Received.

The Tauranga County Council sought the support of the Stratford Council on the following resolution: "The Council, while being appreciative of trie measures already taken to reduce interest and costs generally urges the Government to institute an immediate txnaustive and open enquiry into the matter of monetary reform as a means to assist in improving ttie economic condition of tne country."
