Meeting of Committee

REPAIRS AND IMPROVEMENTS

The monthly meeting of the Stratford Primary School Committee was held last night, and Mr. A. E. Moss presided over the following members: Mrs S. Robinson, Messrs. J. Morrison, A. Ferguson, IT. P. Vosseler, H. Li'ndop, P. Aitken and G. A. Carter, secretary.

The visiting committee's report as presented by Mr. Vosseler stated that an inspection of the school and grounds had been made,, and everything was found to be in good order.

Painting of Corridors

The chairman stated that the Education Board's architect, accompanied by Mr. J. A. Valentine, had viewed corridors at the school and that estimates of the work and material required to repaint the walls had been drawn up. It was further decided, stated Mr. Moss, that the work would be left in the Board'.? hands. Repairs at Baths Mr. Morrison stated that he and Mr Llndop, who had been appointed to see into the matter of repairs to the "flooring of the dressing sheds at the baths, had obtained estimates of the costs which were, by timber 27s fid and by concrete £5. Decision was deferred until after the annual meeting of the committee. Financial Affairs The committee reviewed a financial statement covering tho year's operations, and compared with that of the previous year it was satisfactory. .
