THE WHANGAMOMONA CLUB There was a moderate attendance at the annual meeting of the Whangamomona Tennis Club, the president, Mr. P. Anderson, being in the chair, The balance sheet showed a credit balance of over £46. The president drew attention to the heavy expenses ahead of the club, as the courts needed top-dressing and (lie new netting and posts. ; The election of officers resulted as ! follows: President, Mr. Fred Anderson (re-elected); secretary and treasurer, Miss E. Geever (re-elected); committee, Mrs. Dean, Miss Jefferies, Messrs. McAllister, Robinson, Death, the president and secretary; handicap committee, Miss Geever, Mrs. Dean, Mr. Walters and Mr. P. Anderson, with power to add two more members. Discussion took place concerning the age-limit fixed for members desirous of competing on the senior ladder, and an amendment to abolish the agelimit was lost, by a large majority. The opening day was fixed lor October 11.
