MANAWATU MEETING PALMERSTON N., March 23. The Mauawatu autumn meeting was concluded in dull weather with showers later in the afternoon. There was a fair attendance. The totalizator handled £14,064, against £25,343 on the second day last year. For (he meeting £29,817 was handled, against £51,358 last, year, a decrease of £21,541. Additional results:—

It was a convincing win for Lady Quex, who, getting a late run on the rails, prevailed by (lie best part of a length from Supremacy, who also finished brilliantly, beating Consent by a length for second. Most of the running was made by Pakitere, with Consent and Lady Quex next. These were the leaders into the straight.
