WRESTLING
A TEAM OF MATMEN ON THE WAY TO NEW ZEALAND
Five leading American wrestlers will probably arrive in New Zealand towards the middle of May, under contract to the Dominion Wrestling Union, to appear in matches staged by affiliated organisations, including the Wellington Wrestling Association. It is likely, therefore, that the season will begin in June. In furtherance of arrangements made last year by the union for the supply to New Zealand of a team of wrestlers, word was received last week by cable that the union's representatives in the United States had selected eight front-rankers to come over. The men are about the same weight as those who appeared here last season! The union has cabled suggesting that five of them leave about the middle of April, the remainder following later.
The eight selected men ;u - e Bob Kru.se, Al Karasick, Tom Alley, Harry Demetral, Kara P;wsha, Gotch, Junr., Abe Coleman and Wirth.
