IF WIZARD SMITH SUCCEEDS SIR M CAMPBELL’S PUNS LONDON, March 15. Sir M. Campbell, in an exclusive interview with the Australian Press Association, said: "If the information concerning his car is correct, 1 believe that Wizard Smith stands an excellent chance of beating my Daytona record in his forthcoming attempt on Auckland - beach. If he does I will certainly gO'-to Auckland with the Blue Bird and make- an attempt to regain the record. Wizard .Smith’s engine is the same as mine and with an average amount of luck and good conditions I quite expect him to pull off the record. "The Blue Bird is now en route to the Buenos Aires Exhibition and still has a few miles hourly in reserve. It has been tuned up in view of the possibility of another record run. At the moment I hear of Smith's success I shall prepare for going to Auckland, feeling confident that the Blue Bird can travel faster than any car in tha world to-day."
