WATCH TE AROHA FORM AT PUKEKOHE!

LIKELY TO-PROVE SUBSTANTIALLY CORRECT FRANKLIN CLUB'S RACES TO-MORROW PROSPECTS FOR MEETING ARE DISCUSSED (By "Sir Oracle.")

•THE form shown at the recent Te Aroha fixture is likely to prove substantially correct at Pukekohe to-morrow, when the Franklin Racing Club's meeting will prove the attraction. LIKELY PROMINENT RUNNERS On form, the decision of the Pnni High-Weight Handicap would seem to lie between Claremore, Pouri, Glena Bay, Stonehenge and Neil. Claremere disappointed at Te Aroha, but should be very difficult to beat tomorrow. Pouri may just need the race, but must be well considered. Claremore, Glena Bay and Pouri may do best. There are many possibilities eiw gaged in the Bombay Handicap, the most likely of which seem to be Sniithfleld, Hit the Deck, Operatic, Click Clack, Searcher and Taurua. Smithfield has been very consistent lately, and is certain to earn a winning bracket in the very near future. Hit the Deck is a decided improver, and was very unlucky at Te Aroha. Most appeal is made by Smithfield, Hit the Deck and Searcher. Waiuku Hack Prime fancies for the Waiuku Hack Handicap will probably be Chief Joy, Mauriaena, Waimuri, Vital, Royal Survey, King Ford and Rangikaha. It is not a good class hack field and, despite his hefty load, Chief Joy's Te Aroha form showed Janneson's charge to be a decided cut above the rest of ihem. Vital ran a good second to Puriri Park at Te Aroha last Monday. Rangikaha showed speed at Matamata. Several of those engaged claim other engagements, but if started in this event Chief Joy, with Vital and Mauriaena, may fight it out. Good Field in Big Event

On recent form the Franklin Handicap (one mile and a-quarter) looks to be between Eaglet, Royal Doulton, Sir Mond and Paganelli. Eaglet's Wanganui form was very impressive, while Royal Doulton has usually been well in the money, without actually landing the winning end for some little time past. Sir Mond was a good second .to Pegaway at Te Aroha last Monday, when the similar journey was cut out ;in 2min 6 "3-ssec. Paganelli may just be found w \nting at the finish, but the Te Rapa sprinter is too good-class to be left out of it. Eager Rose is also likely, while lesser chances are held by Manawhenua, Patutahi, Haviland and Clopton. The most prominent runners may \take sorting out, but the preference is for Eaglet, Royal Doulton and Paganelli (if started). Onewhero Hack Handicap Those with the best prospects in the Onewhero Hack Handicap (one mile and one furlong) appear to be King March, Spring Abbey, Good Idea, Claremore and Werata. King March showed a return to form at Te Aroha, and being superior class, should be a good winner from now onwards. Spring Abbey, won at Takapuna fairly recently, while Good Idea was well in the money at Te Aroha. King March, Spring Abbey and Good Idea should prove the pick. Duel Between Top-weights Likely

Apart from Paganelli (which also claims an engagement in the Franklin Handicap), and Supremacy, the field engaged in the Tuakau Flying Handicap (six furlongs) is nothing remarkable. Despite his 10.5, if Pagane'U goes to the post, Supremacy locks the only one likely to beat him. Supremacy is a distinct cut above the remainder, and should take all kinds of beating. Refresher should have some show, and White Wings is another with a chance. It does not seem necessary to go beyond Supremacy, Paganelli (if started) and Refresher. Buckland Handicap Form horses in the Buckland Hack Handicap (about seven furlongs and 22 yards) are Chief Joy, Tambourine, Good Idea, Land Measure and Hit the Deck. For all his weight, Chief Joy may still prove too "classy.' On Te Aroha running both Good Tdea and Tambourine should be somewhere in the money. If reserved, Chief Joy and Good Idea should be the dangerous ones, but in their absence Tambourine is likely.

Probably the most open event of the day is the Pukekohe Handicap (about seven furlongs and 22 yards). Recent running points to Havering, Ti Tree, King Willonyx, Rosshire and Envoy all having to he considered. Havering represents superior class, but being short of recent racing may find it difficult to concede over two stone to a solid customer like Rosshire, which ran two seconds at Te Aroha. Ti Tree usually goes well over this distance, while King Willonyx is better than most consider. Rosshire, Havering and Ti Tree seem to have the best prospects. RANGITIKEI RACES MARTON, March 5. The Rangitikei races concluded today in fine weather. The going was good and the attendance moderate.
