The pilot stepped out to lift five hags of registered mail out, and found himself stating into guns held by two robbers who relieved him of his entire load, worth about £IOOO. They quickly escaped in a car. Another bold robbery occurred at Portland when two bandits entered a bank carrying a lunch box which contained ropes. They trussed the employees and secured £2OOO in hank notes, but overlooked four thousand in gold coin.
