On Wednesday night a raid was made on the offices of the local group of the Communist party of New Zealand by detectives, who possessed a warrant to search for books or documents of a sod.lions character. The whole of the library of the local group, containing many books of reference in general circulation, was taken away as well as the records and reports of the group. Thi s is the second raid within three weeks. On the first occasion the offices of the Red Worker, in Vivian Street, were visited jand quantities of literature, newspaper files, correspondence and other matters were removed.
