CORTPLIWIENTARY dinner. Members of the Celtic Football Club to the number of fifty odd were entertained at dinner last night by Mr J. F. Ryan, licensee of the Commercial Hotel. An interesting and enjoyable tim.e was spent*, and; a number of toasts were honoured! after the'splendid repast had been.done full justice to. After the. loyal toast had: been honoured, Mr W. Tunbridge, president of the club, proposed “the Host and Hostess”. He expressed, member’s appreciation of Mr Ryan’s action in entertaining them, and refeiri red tq Mr Ryan’s help to the club in many directions. ■ Mr Ryan suitably replied. “The Taranaki Rugby Union” was proposed by Air W. J. Casey, Father McLaughlan responding. In proposing “The Celtic Football Club”, Mr A. O’Sullivan referred) to the spleendid record of the senioiv team in its first season and forecasted still greater success in the future. Air L., Coley responded. Other toasts honoured were “Kim dred Clubs”, Air J. Callaghan—Air J>. C. AlcGuinness; “The; Referees”, M. F. Foley—Air A. O’Sullivan; “The Ladies,” Mr A. Davey—Air A. R.
