FIRE DANGER REMOVED

JEINiaiAX FIRE EXTINGUISHER',

The installation- of, a fire extingT uisher in one's home, place of business, car or lorry, has frequently j resulted in damage from an outbreak of fire being avoided. This fact is now becoming so well known that ■ the possession of a lire extinguisher is regarded as a necessity. No doubt this is one of the reasons why <so much interest is taken in the exhibit of Minimax, Ltd., at the South Taranaki Winter Show, which effective display is in charge of. Mr C. Allen, Taranaki Representative for the company. On the stand are 19 samples of Minimax extinguishers embracing the whole range of appliances. • These have capacities of 2-pint, 2 pints, \- gallon, 1 gallon, 2 gallons, 10 gallons and 30 gallons, t 0 meet every need. There are also many interesting photographs of the Minimax factory at Feltham, Middlesex, England. These show the vast operations of the manufacturers.

Minimax is made of the best sheet steel, lined internally and coated externally with lead. Corrosion is therefore impossible. The glass tube containing the acid is hermetically sealed at both ends by fusion, consequently it is impossible for the contents to deteriorate as they cannot come into contact with either air or water. Detached acid bottles (charged), as contained in the cylinder, are on view for demonstration. Minimax and its contents are, therefore, imperishable and are always ready. J

Simplicity and ease of handling is one of the most important features and charm of Minimax. It can be used effectively by a woman, child or one-armed man, automatically throwing a jet to a distance of about 33 feet, forward, upward, or downward. Minimax has well been called the "sign of security" and n 0 business or home can afford to be without one.

" These extinguishers stand tip to all conditions 0 t atmosphere or wear without hurt, and even though exposed to stress of weather for years are absolutely efficient Twelve have recently heen installed on the wharves by the New Plymouth Harbour Board. Another splendid feature is that they do not need recharging until they are used, and after use refils for the majority ot the instruments are free. A moment's thought should convince everyone of the desirability of. installing a Minimax without delay. Mr Allen will be pleased to demonstrate the utility of Minimax and furnish al information during the currency of the .Show,
