Mr, R. H. Nimmo, Managing Director of Messrs. Hamilton Nimmo and Sons Ltd., of Wellington, was in Stratford yesterday. Mr. Nimmo is President of the Wellington Winter Show Association and President of the Wellington Caledonian Society.
Mr Claude Harrison, secretary of tiio Temuka Co-operative Dairy Company, and formerly of Hawera and Eltham, has been appointed secretary of the Hawera Hospital Board in succession to Mr Cecil M. Hoggctt, whose resignation was accepted at the last meeting of tire board. There were 61 applicants. A special meeting of the board was held about two weeks ago, when the list of applicants wns reduced to three. Tho . hoard met these three at its meeting yesterday and/ in .subsequent voting Mr Harrison was appointed. Mr Harrison takes up his duties in January next.’ ■;<
