MOTHER, AND DAUGHTER, HURT

IN DIFFERENT HOSPITALS

SYDNEY, June 11

A mother and her daughter were hurt in different parts of Sydney today. Mi'S Mary Marriott, aged 3G; of Rbchford .Street, Erskineville, had her right leg broke.

Gladys, Marriott, aged 15, of tha same address, was admitted to the Sydney Hospital suffering from shock and abrasions-

Miss Marriott said tTTat as she was walking to work through Campbell Street she was hit by the mudguard of a motor lorry. Mrs Marriott was knocked down, by a motor car in Forest Road, near Knight Street, Arncliffe, and taken to' the St. George Hospital. The Arncliffe police telephoned toJ thb Newtown police regarding Mrs Marriott’s accident, and were then informed of the coincidence by Newtown, where a message had been received concerning the daughter’s injury in the cityd
