THE TAHANAKI UNION. LAST NIGHT'S MEETING. A meeting cif the management committee of the Taranaki Rugby Union was held last night, when there were present: Messrs J. McLeod (chairman), A. F. Neilson, W. H. Mbyes, R. Masters, E. H. Young, R. Paterson, J. Goodwin, W. A. Guy, J. Garcia, "L. J. Funic, R. R. Tyrer, W. ,B. Fearon and S'. E- Nielson (secretary). REP MATCHES. It was decided (tjhat tiho Marlborough, match be played at Hawera on August Bth. Other fixtures decided era, wore: Versus Hawke's Bay at Now Plymouth on August llth; versus Mana-. whenua, at New Plymouth, on September Bth.

Mr Goodwin suggested that the Wanganui match should be played at Hawera on June 30th.

Objection was made by members that this arrangement would involve putting off the club fixtures, which was held to be undesirable. After full discussion it was decided to make no change, the Wanganui match to be played at New Plymouth on August 18th. The Waikato Union notified that the request to have the Waikato-Tar-anaki match played at Stratford on July 12th had been approved, though it would entail fairly long and tinuous travelling on the part of the Waikato team-

The Stratford v. Hawera T.H.S. match will be played as a, curtain raiser. The North v. South primary school match will be played as a curtainraiser for fife match against Wellington on July 4th. The Eltham Club applied to have the Manawhenui-Taranalu match played at Eltham —No action was taken. Th e Inglewood Club applied to have a representative match played at Inglewood.-No action was taken The King Country Union applied for a match on September 26th, at Te Kuiti or faumarunui.—lt was decided to reply regretting that the match could not be played tins season. The New Plymouth 'Boys' Wigh School was .given permission to play Te AufeT&ollege cm "July 21st at Napier and Wanganui College, at Wanganui on August Bth , The Tainui Summon to the match with Whangamomona SubUnion at Stratford on July 14th. The Principal of the Wangamu College wrote agreeing to the school team playing the New Plymouth «u School team on June 30th.-It v.as decided that 'the match be played at Hawera, and that the senior game, Hawera v.
