A large French aeroplane flying from Pads to London crashed in a meadow at Mailing, in Kent. One passenger was killed and the pilot and nine passengers were injured seriously. It is stated that the pilot, owing to- engine trouble, was tiyng to land at the* West Mailing aerodrome when the passengers became panic stricken, rushed'to the rear of the machine and robbed the pilot of control,
