Tututawa Dairy Co.
ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the Tututawa 00-operative Dairy Co. Ltd was held at Tututawa yesterday. There was a representative attendance of shareholders, and Mr J. Jacobsen (chairman of director) presided. Mr M. W Phillips, who retired from the directorate, was reelected, and Mr W. Power waa reelected as auditor. The. report and balance-sheet were adopted. The report stated that the season had been a successful one. The output of cheese had increased by 25 tons 17| cwt. over last season. The whole bad been shipped on comufiiMiient to Messrs J. Natnan and Co., London, and had realised satisfactory prices.' There were at date of report 281 oases still afloat, the value of which had been estimated at a safe figure. Suppliers had received alvances at the rate of Is od per lb of butter-fat, and it was proposed to pay another 2d at the annual meeting and the balance when the rest of the cheese is sold.
Milk received—2,3o4,B9olbs, average test—-3.79, butter- L 'at_87,40G1b5, cheese (factory weigh'V-2i7,704]b5., ■'hiilk to lib cheese—9.69lbs, cheese to lib butter-fat—2.72lbs. The question of installiig a butter plant was discussed, and th e directors were empowered to make enquiries on the subject, and report. At a subsequent meeting of directors, Mr J. Jacobsen was re-elected chairman.
