ANNUAL MEETING AND ADDRESS BY MR J. W. DEEM. The annual mooting of tho Stratford Demonstration Farm Society is advertised to take place in the Parish Hall, Stratford, on Saturday 18th inst., at 1.30 p.m. Tho results of tho farming operatons during the past season have b?en satisfactory and the increased interest in tho demonstrations has K oeu marked. Increased production from the soil is the chi«f avenue to prosperity in Now Zealand and all activity towards thi 3 is worthy of attention. Tory much benefit comes to a community by its members gettine: together and discussmg problems wl)ioh affect their daily occupations a,nd the different methods adopted to overcome the difficulties. From each other valuablo hints can be taken tending towards practical solution of difficulties daily confrontin p the fn,rmor.
The subject Mr Deem has taken for his address is wide enough to admit any phase of farm method and practice applicable to dairy farming and as ig usual with Mr Deem it will no doubt he treated in a nut-terof-fact, practical manner.
