The greatest secrecy is maintained concerning the discovery for the preservation of cordite and the prevention of deterioration in hot climates by a treatment with Molybdenum. In view of the cordite losses of the French army, the authorities are inquiring as to the deposits of Molybdenum in Australia. Within a month the price of the ore has risen from 755. to 110 s, but supplies are unobtainable.
