ARRIVAL OF PLANE YESTERDAY
Union Airways’ Service Resumed The daily air service between Dunedin and Invercargill was resumed yesterday. The Union Airways plane arrived about 3.55 p.m. and left a quarter of an hour later. It had been intended that the service should be resumed last Monday, but on Monday and Tuesday the 'plane was unable to land at Taieri and was forced to return to Christchurch. . Presumably the fact that the trip was twice cancelled caused intending passengers to and from Invercargill to travel by train, as only three persons arrived by the plane yesterday and only one left for Dunedin. The passenger for the north was Mr W. Peterson. The three inward passengers were Flight Lieutenant L. J. Small, Mrs L. Small and Mrs A. Small.
