SALE OF TRANSFERS
Prisoners Of War Fund Members of the Invercargill Traders’ Patriotic Assistance Committee are to begin a canvass of the city today for the purpose of selling patriotic transfers bearing the words, “There’ll Always Be An England." The transfers are to be sold as part of the effort which the Invercargill R.S.A. is to make this month to raise money for the prisoners of war fund. They represent surplus stock from a previous effort of the association and the number to be disposed of is 2500. The transfers are suitable for affixing to shop windows or motor-car windscreens. The hope of the Traders’ Committee is that soon every shop and every office in the city will be displaying at least one of these transfers. The city has been divided into zones and members of the committee assigned to each zone. The canvass will be spread over a few days.
