Under the will of Mr Charles Walter Elliott, a former Rangiora business man, £lOOO is bequeathed to St. Saviour's Guild foi - orphanage work and the residue of the estate to the Salvation Army in Christchurch for charitable work among elderly people. The value of the estate is approximately £7OOO.
