WAIHOPAI CROQUET CLUB
The annual meeting of the Waihopai Croquet Club was held at the residence of the president, Mrs G. F. Stevens, who presided. The report and balance-sheet were adopted. The following office-bearers were elected for the ensuing year:—President, Mrs H. P. Alabaster; senior vice-president, Mrs J. R« Martin; junior vice-president, Mrs J. Campbell; secretary and treasurer, Mrs R. G. Morrison; club captain, Mrs Blanch; deputy captain, Mrs Murray; committee, Mesdames Winning, Stevens, Blanch, Johnston and Miss Munro; delegate to Waihopai Sports Association, Mrs G. T. Stevens; delegate to Southland Croquet Association, Mrs Blanch; social committee, Mesdames Johnston (convener), Kimble, Croad, McDonald and Miss Noble; auditor, Mr H. P. B. Alabaster. Congratulations were extended to the winners of club competitions during the year. Opening day was fixed for September 26.
NORTHEND CLUB Mrs S. Keen presided over a fair attendance of members at the annual meeting of the Northend Croquet Club. The report and balance-sheet were adopted. The following office-bearers were elected: President, Mrs S. Keen; vice-presidents, Miss J. Anderson and Mrs J. Blue; hon. secretary and treasurer, Mrs S. C. K. Smith; captain, Miss Cockroft; deputy-captain, Mrs J. Hannan; committee, Mesdames A. Wesney, J. A. Fraser and A. Lyall.
