DAIRY CONFERENCE IN INVERCARGILL
FIRST MEETING IN CITY For what is believed to be the first occasion on record, the annual conference of the South Island Dairy Association next month will be held in Invercargill. Three years ago the association decided to depart from its usual practice of holding the conference at Dunedin alone and to hold future conferences in other South Island centres. One conference was held at Timaru and this year it is the turn of Invercargill. For. many years the representation of Southland at the conference has been larger than that of any other part of the South Island because of the great amount of dairying carried on in the province. It will be a convenience, therefore, to the greater number of delegates for the conference to be held in Invercargill. The date fixed for the conference is Thursday, June 18.
