REGISTRATION FOR ESSENTIAL WORK

MINISTER’S WARNING

(P.A.) In fact, I hold a schedule of names of many of these persons living in practically every part of the Dominion.” This statement was made by the Hon. R. Semple, Minister of National Service, who added that in view of the wide publicity given to the effect of orders under the National Service Regulations there should be little excuse for failure to register. “I realize,” the Minister continued, “that there may be cases where people, both men and women, do not fully realize their obligations, but a warning is now given that after ten days from the publication of this statement persons who it is found have deliberately or negligently failed to register will be prosecuted.
