MAGISTRATE’S COURT The following cases were dealt with by Mr R. C. Abernethy, S.M., at a sitting of the Magistrate’s Court. Judgment for plaintiff by default was given in the case J. C. Wilson v. P. Murphy, for £l/4/-, costs 10/-. A variation was made in an order against H. Molloy, the defendant to pay £lO/6/- in monthly instalments of £1 each, the first payment to be made on January 26. D. C. McColl was granted an order against Alex Allan Foster for . £B/8/9, and solicitor’s fee 15/6, to be paid forthwith, in default nine days’ imprisonment, the warrant to be suspended if 7/6 a week is paid. Samuel Lee was fined £l/10/-, costs £l/6/-, for being on licensed premises after hours. For allowing cattle to wander John Ford was fined 15/- and costs 12/-.
