WOMEN AND GIRLS STOP WORK
(P.A.) AUCKLAND, November 14. Stating that they would not resume work until they received 5/- increase in wages, 50 women and girls employed measuring sausage casings at the Westfield Freezing Company’s works did not resume work after the 10 o’clock spell today. Their wages range up to £3 weekly. An official of the firm said that no previous intimation of the employees’ demands had been received.
