AIR SERVICE TO TIMOR
LISBON’S REPLY SIMILAR AGREEMENT WITH AUSTRALIA (Rec. 9.30 p.m.) LISBON, Oct. 23. The Foreign Office has issued a statement that the JapanesePortuguese agreement for the Pelew-Dilli (Timor) air service, for which negotiations began in July last year, is erroneously interpreted by foreign newspapers. Its object is to develop passenger, mail and commercial traffic. The agreement is similar- to one concluded with Australia since the negotiations with Japan began. Japanese-Portuguese conversations have already begun for settling the technical details of the new service.
