COMMUNITY SING AND CONCERT
PROCEEDS FOR HOME GUARD
The public of Invercargill will have an opportunity of expressing its appreciation of the Home Guard’s work by attending the Civic Theatre tomorrow evening for the community sing and entertainment. A good programme has been prepared, including items by the Southland Boys’ High School sextet included in which will be Master Jack Thompson. The Southland Girls’ High School Choir will be heard. Mr Roy Wesney will introduce special items on the xylophone. The Battalion Band will open the proceedings by playing bright numbers. The Marist Boys’ Choir, always popular with the Invercargill public, will make its first appearance this season. The- dancing items will be produced by the pupils of Miss Rene Ward and Miss Elaine Cull will be heard in songs. The reserves are at Begg’s and, as the cost is 1/- with no extra for booking, a full house is expected.
