EXTENDED HOURS AT POST OFFICE

RELICENSING OF MOTOR VEHICLES

Extended hours for the relicensing of motor-vehicles will be observed this week at the Chief Post Office, Invercargill, as follows: Thursday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Friday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Saturday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The public, however, is strongly advised to relicence early as congestion towards the end of the week is likely to be serious. Up to yesterday 2448 motor-vehicles, including 303 relicenced yesterday, had been relicenced at the Chief Post Office, Invercargill. New number plates must not be fixed till June 1 and it is an offence to use this year’s plates after May 31.
