R. W. DOWNIE WINS ALL COMERS’ EVENT

The Lochiel dog trials were held on Mr J. McFadzien’s farm in showery weather. There were large entries. The judge was Mr S. C. Paterson. Following are the results: —-

(Total points 60.) Cliff Kerr’s Balival Lad (57 points) 1 J. B. Queale’s Bess. (561 points) 2 D. J. Watson’s Millie and J. B.

Queale’s Roy (56 points), equal 3 ALL-COMERS’ EVENT. (Total points 70.) R. R. Downie’s Toff (661 points) 1 D. J. Watson’s Millie (63 points) 2 J. B. Queale’s Bess (60 points) 3 E. P. Healy’s Lass (59 points) 4 HUNTAWAY. (Total points 60.) W. R. Downie’s Tip (52 points) 1 J. Cook’s Rock (50 points) 2 J. J. O’Brien’s Scamp (351 pointe) 3 Mr G. Walters’s cup for most points in the short pull was won by Cliff Kerr’s Balaval Lad, and Mr A. McConachie’s cup for the winner of the all-comers’ event was won by W. R. Downie’s Toff.
