CENTRAL COMPETITION Winton beat Lochiel at Lochiel in a Central district football 'competition match by four points to three. Lochiel led three-nil at half-time, the points being secured by a try scored by S. Gray. Winton’s points came from a field goal kicked by W. Forde. The teams were evenly matched and Lochiel had a slight advantage throughout. The scoring in the other two matches was also close, Limehills beating Otahuti, 12-9, and Central Star beating Wrights Bush, 9-6.
