PATRIOTIC FUND
COLLECTIONS IN ORETI DISTRICT More than £4OO has been collected up to the present for the Patriotic Fund in the Oreti district by straight-out subscriptions. To assist the fund fortnightly euchre tournaments have been started in the Oreti Hall. At the first tournament there was an attendance of almost 80 players. The women’s prize was won by Miss Stewart, with Mrs J. Deegan as runner-up and the men’s prize was won by Mr J. H. Hubber. The runnerup was Mr T. Miller.
