CHECK ON FUEL LICENCES
INSTRUCTION TO DISTRICT CONTROLLERS The Oil Fuel Controller, Wellington, has instructed district controllers and sub-controllers to check the motorvehicle and oil-fuel licence records with a view to withdrawing or amending oil-fuel licences for motor-spirit and power kerosene for vehicles not relicensed for the current year. Persons concerned should, therefore, either surrender or submit their licences for amendment to the local sub-controller without delay. This review also applies where one or more units of a fleet have not been relicensed.
A request was made in May by the district controller at Invercargill (Mr H. Miller) that persons who held fuel licences and who did not intend to reregister their vehicles, should surrender their fuel licences. In many cases, however, this was not done and the check has been made necessary.
