WELCOME HOME AT WOODLANDS
MR AND MRS M. CLARK HONOURED A welcome home was held in Mr W. Clark’s wool shed recently in honour of Mr and Mrs Maitland Clark, who were recently married. 'The evening was spent in cards and dancing to music supplied by Mr J. Reynolds. Mr Cyril Green was master of ceremonies. During the evening instrumental items were given by Mr L. Walker. During the evening Mr C. Green asked Mr and Mrs Clark to accept a chiming clock from their many friends in Woodlands and the surrounding districts. He spoke of the popularity of the guests and the esteem in which they were held by one and all, and wished them a happy and prosperous married life. Messrs J. Middlemiss and W. Bell also spoke. Musical honours were accorded the guests of honour after which Mr Clark replied on behalf of his wife and himself, at the same time extending a welcome to all who wished to visit them in their new home “Kingswood.” Those present were Mr and Mrs M.
