ORETI SURF CLUB
JUNIOR FOUR-MAN ALARM COMPETITION The Oreti Surf Club held a junior four-man alarm competition at Oreti Beach yesterday, four teams competing. It was probably the best junior competition yet held at the beach, the standard of performance being particularly high. An excellent display was given in the march past of the teams and the splendid physique of the members was commented on. The resuscitation was taken first because of the incoming tide. The display by the captains was very close. Results:— B. Palmer (captain), J. Cameron, K. Millar and W. Bath, 64.54pts 1 N. Jenkin (captain), B. Morgan, R. Calley and B. Phillips, 62.96pts 2 A.
