In a Sheffield Shield cricket match against Queensland, Victoria in the first innings lost five wickets for 363 runs (Tamblyn 107, Hassett 83). Queensland in its first innings made 279. Playing against New South Wales, South Australia in the first innings made 430 runs (Bradman 251 not out, O’Reilly five for 108). New South Wales in its first innings made 336 and in the second innings lost four wickets for 139 runs.
