Industrial Expansion
The development of _ manufacturing, at any rate in the Wellington province, is exemplified by the membership figures quoted in the annual report of the Wellington Manufacturers’ Association. In 1933 the association had a membership of 216, and today the names of 438 firms—all active manufacturers—appear on the membership roster.
