GIFT EVENING AT LIMEHILLS

PRELUDE TO DOUBLE WEDDING On Wednesday evening a double gift evening was held in the Limehills Hall in honour of Misses Moira and Marjorie Crowe, whose double wedding takes place next week. The evening was spent in dancing, music being supplied by Mrs W. Woods and Mr D. Brown. A supper extra was played by Mr J. Wilson. Mr C. Hawkins was master of ceremonies. During supper Mr C. Hawkins said the guests were well known in the district, and in asking them to accept a large assortment of gifts from their many friends present, he wished them every happiness in the future. Mr J. Webb, Winton, replied on behalf of the guests of honour, thanking the people for their many gifts and the speaker for his remarks. He also apologized for the absence of Mr G. Bolger.
