PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO FOOT-FAULT RULE
NEW YORK, February 5.
The United States Lawn Tennis Association passed a resolution favouring a change in the International Federation’s foot-fault rule to eliminate the provision under which Adrian Quist was penalized when he played J. D. Budge in the Davis Cup. The association also empowered a referee to forbid the wearing of spikes.
