THREE NEW VESSELS FOR NAVY
LAUNCHING OF DESTROYERS (British Official Wireless) RUGBY, October 26. Three new vessels for the Navy were launched yesterday. At the Hepburn shipyard the flotilla leader Kelly, which belongs to the K class and is one of the eight ordered in the 1937 programme, was launched. H.M.S. Jackal, first of the J class destroyers in the 1937 programme, was launched at Clyde from the yard of John Brown and Company, where another of the same class is under construction. Tomorrow H.M.S. Jupiter, a J class destroyer, will be launched at Scotstoun.
