TRAGEDY WITNESSED BY TELEVISION
PLUNGE FROM ELEVENTH STORY (Received QJune 24, 9.40 p.m.) NEW YORK, June 24. A mobile television transmitter making shots at Radio City picked up a scene of unexpected tragedy when the camera man trained the instrument on the body of a young woman who plunged from the eleventh story of the Rockefeller Centre.
Engineers were startled to see a hurtling figure cross the screen and hear screams from the crowds through the microphone.
