MR O. C. MAZENGARB TO STAND
NATIONAL CANDIDATE FOR WELLINGTON SUBURBS (United Press Association) WELLINGTON, May 2. A decision to accept nomination as the National Party’s candidate for the new Wellington suburbs seat at the general election was announced by Mr O. C. Mazengarb at a meeting of party supporters at the National Club, Wellington, tonight. The chairman of the party’s electorate committee, Mr E. M. Wylie, presided. Representatives of committees at Ngaio, Johnsonville, Wadestown, Porirua, Taita, Eastbourne, Day’s Bay, Khandallah, Belmont, Melling and Tawa Flat extended invitations to Mr Mazengarb to accept nomination and a representative of the Tell New Zealand League pledged him that organization’s support.
