TODAY’S RECIPE
CANDLESTICK SALAD 1 large lettuce leaf. 1 thin green strip angelica. 1 crystallized cherry or strawberry, if in season. . 1 slice of pineapple (well drained). 1 small banana, or % banana cut cross-wise. Salad dressing. For the base of the candlestick place the slice of pineapple on a lettuce leaf. For the candlestick point the cut end of the banana half into an upright position in the cavity of the pineapple slice. In the side of the banana at the bottom stick the piece of angelica to represent a handle. On the top of the banana place the cherry or strawberry and fasten with a toothpick or sharpened match. Stick a piece of shredded coco-nut on top for the wick, and with the addition of a little salad dressing at the side of your candlestick your salad is complete. SARAH.
